OS Maps Preparation - Lancashire Ramblers

Before attending a workshop it is preferred that attendees complete some basic steps to ensure the workshop can focus on the most relevant topic.
E.g. ensuring that Apps are loaded and set up and perhaps at least becoming familiar with the general operation of the App.

If you are completey new to the OS Maps system, you may find this introduction PDF helpful ESPECIALLY in setting up a free trial.

Preparation for OS Maps Workshop May 22

You will also need to load OS Locate before the workshop and preferably explore it.
It is a simple app, does not need registering, and there is no risk in trying each function.

If you have already set up an account for OS Maps, OR if you set up a free trial, the following videos below from Ordnance Survey will provide an overview of the system. They are also listed in the Preparation PDF.

The workshop will only briefly deal with the topics here so it can focus on practical use of OS Maps.
So it would be prudent to view these videos before attending the workshop, though they could be used afterwards to refresh understanding and explore more fully.
