Mid Lancashire Area Ramblers

Most Rambler groups provide "guided" walks.

In the Mid Lancashire area the 8 groups provide guided walks accessible on or via this site.
Occassionally walks are added with only a few days notice, so it's worth checking online.
More commonly groups add walks a month or more ahead.
Any walk on this website is also accessible via
- via the Rambler main site
-via the Rambler app.

A couple of groups (Fylde/Hike On) have additional walks accessible on their websites (see "Groups" menu)

Under this "Guided Walks" main menu you can access these walk and other information in a number of ways:-
1. "Which Menu to Use?"
    Just opens this document.
2. "Guided Walks"
This is the most flexible and controllable way of finding the walks you wish.
You can select all walks or on the basis of group, length, grade, dates or day of week.
It provides 4 different styles of presentation, 3 of them tables, 1 an interactive map.
You can print any of the text formats.

3. Print Programme

A simplified quick presentation of the walk programme, mainly designed for printing the programme.
Easily shows either the next 5 weeks or all of the walks.
(beyond 5 weeks walks will often not yet have been added)
Note: this also works well on smart phones.

4. "Join A Walk"
If you are unfamiliar with joining one of our walks, this guides you on how to join and what to expect and bring with you.

5. "How To Find a Walk Start"
All of the walks include a Grid Reference, a Post Code and a What3Words reference.
Normally there will also be some textual description of there the walk starts.
This menu offers some information on how to identify the location of the walk.

6. "Dogs on Walks"  - some guidance on bringing dogs.

7.  "Quick Programme"
A variation of the main Guided Walks function providing a simpler access to the walks and compatible with phones.
